Students will receive introductory instruction from GM employees in electrical concepts in a free one day virtual workshop on

November 7, 2020.

They will learn about electrical currents, circuits, and use materials to create series and parallel circuit paths.Building

on this knowledge, they will also create an electric quiz board. At the end, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding

of how electric energy is transferred and changed through the use of circuits. 

Students will be provided a kit to use to complete the hands on activity that will take place during the workshop.

Forensic Science (Critical Thinkers in Motion) - Virtual

CSI: Forensic Science course is designed to challenge students, through hands-on activities in life, physical and earth science as they relate solving crime. Students will be exposed to problem solving, group collaboration and use of the scientific method and instrumentation. “The Next Best Selling Comic Book” course teaches students lessons about writing and developing a novel or comic book using the Scribblitt application. This course will introduce the students to authoring a book with creative writing, design concepts and content placements. Students will further develop an understanding of authoring a book by chapters including table of content, graphic design, word bubbles, bio and other book design concepts. Students will storyboard, design and develop a novel or comic book, write and present their final projects.
