Pre Engineering Math Part 6th Grade (Wayne State University)
Grade Range: 6 - 6

An interactive course for 6th-grade students covering topics in the DAPCEP supplemental math course. Students will learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide integers; locate coordinates on a grid; read a number line; how to solve equations and expressions with different operations. Students will explore various mathematics topics through hands-on activities. Experiences involving active applications of concepts, problem-solving and mental mathematics will be provided. Pre-Engineering Math is a course intended to provide students with a basic working knowledge of algebraic ideas and geometry. To be eligible for a certificate students must complete all classroom and homework assignments, and must take the pre and post-test.

The ABCs of Public Speaking & Technology (Fresh Nation - WCCCD Northwest Campus)
Grade Range: 7 - 8

Students will learn the purpose, different types and content creation of Media Technology while learning how to give a presentation. Students will break into groups participate in these activities:

-Team equipment assembly

- Writing technology commercials as individuals/group

- Recording and editing commercials using software technology

-Giving technology presentations
